Helping small businesses grow, prosper, and create jobs

The Rural Development Fund, administered by the Wyoming Smart Capital Network (WSCN), supports small businesses across the state of Wyoming. The fund can be used to purchase up to 25%, in a subordinated position, of an eligible small business loan through a commercial lender.

The fund was made possible with a $4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) and a $1 million match from the WSCN.

Commercial lenders are encouraged to contact us to learn more about how to take advantage of this opportunity.

Small business borrowers are encouraged to contact their commercial lender to learn if the program is a match for their financing needs.

"We are incredibly pleased to announce these new funds for Wyoming small businesses. The revolving loan fund will support both new and existing businesses, bring new jobs to our communities and retain existing ones. Our close relationship with WSCN will expand our service territory to all parts of Wyoming."
— Kathy Lenz, Resource and Economic Development Manager for Sen. Cynthia Lummis
